CHURSTON CHOIR OPEN CHORAL WORKSHOP- SATURDAY 28th APRIL 9.45am. Do you enjoy a good sing? Do you love Church music?  Churston Choir will be enjoying a Choral Workshop on Saturday 28th April at 9.45am - 12.30pm.  We will be enjoying singing some beautiful communion Anthems, and also the Murray Mass.  It would be lovely to welcome anyone who would like to come and join us to see if singing in the choir is something you might enjoy when your personal commitments allow.  Ability to read music is an advantage but not necessary.  Also Choristers from other Choirs in the Benefice are welcome to come and sing with us.  There will be coffee and cakes during the interval, and a chance to make some new friends.  If you’re interested please feel free to email me so I can prepare copies of the music, or just turn up on the day as I will make sure there are a few spare copies available. For more details email Dawn orders.to.dawn@gmail.com Thank you!

CTiB QUIZ - the next Quiz evening will be Saturday 28th April 7pm in the Community Hall, Fore St. Brixham.  It would be brilliant if all the Anglican Churches fielded a team. BMC OFFICE SECURITY. Due to concerns over the number of keys in circulation, a new lock has been fitted to the BMC Office in Lyte House. The office is usually open on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, 9am-1pm, when Joan, the BMC Administrator, is on duty. People urgently needing access at other times can borrow a key from the keyholder at their church, normally the churchwarden (or the churchwarden will know who the key holder is). Anyone who is absolutely sure they need their own key should contact Joan. If a key is cut specially for them they will need to sign for it, including a guarantee that they will NOT get their key copied. WE MUST PREVENT THE ESCALATION OF KEYHOLDERS WHICH WILL JEOPARDISE THE SECURITY OF THE OFFICE.

It is with great sadness that we have to advise you of the loss of Scruffy, the St. Mary’s Church dog.  It is 10 years ago that she adopted us having been tied up and abandoned at the lych gate one cold, wet Sunday morning. After a short illness she was diagnosed with advanced liver cancer and went peacefully to sleep last Tuesday. We’re sure she will be missed by many of you.
